Asteroid Arena

A gameplay screenshot from Asteroid Arena.

Overview

Asteroid Arena was developed as a reimagining of the classic game Asteroids, but with a unique twist. Instead of shooting down asteroids, you manipulate gravity to change the path of nearby asteroids to make them collide with each other. But be careful not to get hit; if you take too much damage, you will be destroyed instead.

Development

Asteroid Arena was made by a team of second-year games students from Swinburne University. I was one of my team’s programmers and helped implement Asteroid Arena‘s gameplay functionality and audio management. For my contributions, I earned a Distinction in the Intro to Games Production unit Asteroid Arena was developed for.
