Author’s Note: This short story was written for a quick writing exercise for my Reading, Writing and Criticism class. We were instructed to try different writing exercises and methods. For this one, we were instructed to use an alphabetical writing structure, i.e. the first sentence had to start with the letter A, the second with the letter B, and so on. The prompt was to write about an altercation between two people on public transport, whether drawn from personal experience or entirely fictitious. My train rides tend to be uneventful, so I opted for the latter.
